An Education and Childcare student from Accrington and Rossendale College has walked straight into employment after gaining an A grade in her Level 3 qualification.

Chloe Duxbury, 21, formerly of The Hollins, has gained a position as a Nursery Practitioner at The Beeches Child and Family Centre in Accrington.

It has been a real journey of progress for Chloe at College. She began on a Level 1 course and has worked hard to build up her knowledge and experience to work in the sector.

She successfully completed a work placement at The Beeches and impressed the nursery with her ability, so much so she was offered a permanent role

Chloe said: “College has really supported me to gain all of the knowledge I will need to take forward in my career in the Childcare sector – I was really happy to gain the position.

“I also received great help with my job application for my role at the nursery and I don’t think I would be in the position I am if it wasn’t for that help.”
