Young supporters attending Accrington Stanley’s Good Friday match against Morecambe received a special Easter treat, as Stanley and Accrington-based training provider North Lancs Training Group (NLTG) teamed up to give away hundreds of Easter eggs.

Over 300 eggs were handed out before the game to Under 12s from both Stanley and Morecambe, with the young fans also posing for selfies, with NLTG’s egg-stra special selfie frame.

Both NLTG and Stanley, who have been running the initiative together for three years now, are passionate about supporting their local community, with NLTG also involved in Stanley’s annual big shirt giveaway.

David Burgess, Managing Director at Accrington Stanley said: “What a day we have had. It has been amazing to see so many young people receiving and enjoying their Easter eggs.

“It is a great activity to run before the game and it really brought the local community together once again here at Accrington Stanley.”

Gareth Lindsay, Managing Director at NLTG, said: “We are really proud to be involved in the Easter egg giveaway and thoroughly enjoy working with Accrington Stanley to support our local community.

“It was fantastic to see all the happy faces as they received their eggs and we hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter weekend.”
