North Lancs Training Group (NLTG), the Accrington-based training provider, have said goodbye to one of their longest serving members of staff, Damian Crawshaw.

The departing Apprenticeship Senior Manager has retired after an incredible 35 years with the business, which began all the way back in March 1988.

NLTG has experienced fantastic growth and success during Damian’s time with the business, with the keen mountain biker playing an integral role in how NLTG has adapted to and embraced changes and developments in the industry.

Damian said: “After 35 years working at NLTG, it is finally time for me to retire. I’m looking forward to retirement but will miss all my colleagues. I want to thank everyone at North Lancs Training Group for the hard work they put in and the fantastic job that they do. I’ve always felt like I’ve been part of a family here and now I’ll be able to spend more time with my own.

“The company has always strived to give the best service possible to learners, and I know this is still the case. There have been many challenges on the way but we have always managed to accomplish everything needed to grow the business and be successful.”

Gareth Lindsay, Managing Director of NLTG, added: “On behalf of the NLTG team, I would like to say thank you to Damian for all the years of hard work, laughs and memories.

“35 years of service to one company is a rarity these days, especially one in our sector. Damian has seen and worked through all the changes and developments that our sector has seen over those years and has played an integral part in the development and progress of the company as a whole. He has been, quite simply, a big part of the NLTG family and will be missed by us all.

“On a personal note, I have worked closely with Damian for 23 of his 35 years at NLTG. It has been an absolute pleasure to do so and he has become a firm friend. Thank you for everything Damian and have a very long, happy and healthy retirement!”
