Lancashire County Council (LCC) recently celebrated their 1000th Apprentice with a special presentation at County Hall in Preston.
Lara Mason has completed the Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship with Accrington-based training provider, North Lancs Training Group (NLTG).
Acting Chief Executive of Lancashire County Council, Mark Wynn, welcomed representatives from NLTG and LCC to County Hall, where he presented Lara with an Apprenticeship certificate and gift to celebrate her achievements.
Lara is employed in Trading Standards at LCC and her Manager, Dawn, commented: “Lara has always been a hardworking officer, who looks at the bigger picture and fits her work into regional and national priorities. Since she started with Trading Standards, she has always been keen to help and train other officers or volunteer for difficult jobs, undertaking evening and weekend work when required, and is a great team player.”
The milestone Apprenticeship showcases LCC’s ongoing commitment to provide opportunities for developing the workforce of the future, offering Apprenticeships across a wide range of areas.

“Apprenticeships offer an absolutely unique opportunity for both the Apprentices and the organisation to develop, introducing skills, best practice, collaboration with partners and across the Council.”
