Nelson and Colne College and Accrington and Rossendale College have announced the dates of their first Open Events of 2026 and promise they will provide a unique opportunity for school leavers to link their learning after GCSEs to their career goals and dreams.
East Lancashire Learning Group (ELLG) is excited to announce the return of its pioneering Apprenticeship and Employer (ACE) events, designed to connect students with Lancashire’s leading employers.
The events, which will feature an opportunity to talk to leading Lancashire employers about the most sought-after careers, will take place on:

3 February at Accrington and Rossendale College (5.30 pm-7-30pm)

5 February at Nelson and Colne College (5.30 pm-7-30pm)
Pupils will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from a wide range of sectors and industries, discussing pathways into potential careers and exploring live Apprenticeship opportunities.
These flagship open events offer a powerful platform for pupils to explore their next steps – whether that’s through A Levels, T Levels, Technical Learning or Apprenticeship pathways – and embark on their professional journey with confidence.
Alongside guidance from friendly and approachable College Tutors, attendees will benefit from direct access to many of Lancashire’s most innovative and forward-thinking companies, all committed to nurturing the next generation of talent.
